Mumbai,

In 2005, ‘dance bars’ in the Marathas were banned from dancing in pubs with women wearing pornographic clothing. However dance bars are operating illegally in various places.

The Social Crime Prevention Unit received complaints from the police that several illegal activities were taking place at the Deepa bar in Andheri. Following this, the police raided the bar at 11 pm last Saturday.

There were no women in the bar then. Police spent hours questioning staff there about the dancing beauties. They also insisted that there were no dancing beauties at the bar.

In this context, the Deputy Commissioner of the Social Crime Prevention Division went there early yesterday morning. The bar was re-tested. At that time, a room in the bar had a suspicious amount of false glass. Following this, the police broke the glass.

Then there was the small door behind the mirror. And when the door opened, the police were shocked to see that there was a narrow cellar inside. Inside that cellar were dancing beauties with closet costumes. And for them to stay indoors for a long time, the beauties need drinking water, soft drinks and food from inside. Police later rescued 17 dancers from the basement. They also registered a case in connection with the incident and arrested the bar manager, cashier and 3 employees. The bar was sealed.
