The police will go through Johanna Leshem Jansson’s and Maja Hellman’s phones again. The hope is to be able to establish the time when Maja Hellman’s health app registered movements on the night of the murder. – It would have been good if we could find out both start and end times because then the time window would be clearer, says prosecutor Adam Rullman to P4 Jönköping.

In just over a month, the appeal court hearing will be held on the murder of 21-year-old Tove in Vetlanda. Since April, Johanna Leshem Jansson, 20, and Maja Hellman, 19, have been sentenced to life imprisonment for murder and grave breach of privacy.

One of the questions expected to be tried during the trial is the exact time when the murder took place – and where Maja Hellman was then. Maja Hellman herself has stated that she was sleeping when the murder took place, while the police have been able to see that the health app on her phone has registered steps during the night.

Now the data in both women’s phones will be analyzed again, reports P4 Jönköping. – There has been a lot of talk about telephones and times. There, we should make an attempt if there is an opportunity to get something more out of the phone drains that have been made, if there is any more information to retrieve somehow, says prosecutor Adam Rullman, who is leading the investigation, to the channel.

Will call in the time when Maja Hellman moved during the night of the murder

In his evidence against Maja Hellman, Adam Rullman has, among other things, pointed to the health app’s registration of steps. However, the 19-year-old’s phone has been more difficult to analyze than Johanna Leshems Jansson’s, as it is a newer version. – You have to look at the possibility of whether those files can be used in other programs or if there have been updates to programs and things like that that can make it possible to obtain more information, or read out more information, says Adam Rullman.

His hope is that they will be able to see what exact time Maja Hellman moved during the night. – It would have been good if we could get both start and end times because then the time window would be clearer, he says.
