The Israel Police has completed its preparations for the football game that will be held tonight (Sunday) at Toto Turner Stadium in Be’er Sheva. Police officers and ushers will be deployed from the afternoon in and out of the stadium to maintain order and security, regulate and direct traffic. The stadium gates will open at 6:30 p.m. Due to the expectation of traffic congestion and a strict inspection that will be conducted among those who come to the stadium, we recommend to the fan public to arrive early for the game.
Traffic arrangements:
As of 18:00, the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic:
David Elazar Street – Etzel,
The Six Days – The Irgun,
Yehuda Halevi Street – Ibn Ezra,
Sderot Reger – the Tzaddik from Jerusalem.
Only authorized vehicles will be allowed to enter.
Parking will be allowed along Hatzadik Street from Jerusalem from the northern exit to Nurit Absorption Center Square and from Conch Square to Etzel Street. Hapoel Beer Sheva fans will not be allowed to park from the northern entrance of Road 406 to a guest group parking lot (only Maccabi Tel Aviv fans will be allowed to enter). Between 20:30 and 22:00, the roads will be open to traffic and will be blocked again at the end of the game.
Some highlights and recommendations for the fans:
• We will ask the fans to arrive about two hours before the start of the game in order to avoid traffic congestion on the arteries leading to the stadium and congestion at the entrance gates.
• A thorough inspection will be carried out for all fans.
• It will not be possible to bring weapons into the stadium except for police officers with acceptable means of identification.
• Fans will not be allowed to enter the venue under the influence of alcohol.
• We will not allow any manifestation of violence inside and outside the stadium, racist chants or damage to property and behavior that has the characteristics of violating public order and insulting a public employee. The police will take zero tolerance towards those involved in these incidents.
• You will not be allowed to enter the parking lot with a parking ticket from the previous year.
* Visible and undercover police officers will maintain public safety in a number of security circles and be prepared for any scenario.
• We call on the fans who come to the field, to be patient, to obey the instructions of the police, and to enjoy a festive and cultural sports experience.
