Four Female Students Arrested for Alleged Support of Hamas

In a determined effort to combat terrorism, the police forces of the northern district and a reserve police battalion have arrested four female students from a college in the north on suspicion of inciting and supporting the terrorist organization Hamas.

The arrests were made following a raid on the homes of the four female students in Yfia, Aksal, Uzair, and Nazareth. The suspects were brought to the crime fighting unit in the valleys area for questioning.

The police uncovered incriminating social media posts, including one where a suspect shared a photo of a terrorist putting a kidnapped girl on a jeep, along with a caption comparing it to the actions of the occupation in Gaza. Another suspect shared a photograph of a newspaper that read “Tsunami al-Aqsa October 7” with an emoji of a heart and a Palestinian flag.

The four female suspects are currently being interrogated, and the police intend to request an extension of their detention at the Magistrate’s Court in Nazareth.

In a separate operation, an 18-year-old resident of Kfar Kana was also arrested on suspicion of publishing incitement and support for terrorism.

The Israel Police have emphasized their commitment to identifying and dealing with individuals who incite violence and support terrorist acts, whether on social media or elsewhere.

The arrests demonstrate the continued efforts of the police to maintain operational readiness and prevent terrorist activities in the region.
