Police arrested a 37-year-old Bat Yam resident over the weekend on suspicion of burglary and causing damage to a kindergarten for children with special needs in the city.

The police opened an investigation on Friday, upon receiving a report from the assistant about a burglary in a kindergarten for children with special needs in Bat Yam, after they arrived at the scene and found that the back door was damaged and that toys and food were lying all over the kindergarten.

The police officers who arrived at the scene heard a suspicious noise from one of the rooms and caught a 37-year-old man, a resident of Bat Yam, coming out of the bathroom. The suspect was arrested and brought for questioning at the police station and in accordance with the findings of the investigation and its needs, his detention has been extended until today and this morning the police will ask to extend his detention again.
