Today, Friday, Al-Shorta Club defeated Al-Shams Club in a friendly match held at the latter’s stadium.

A statement by the Police Club – received by the (INA) – stated that “the match ended with the Police winning by two clean goals, scored by Mahmoud Al-Mawas in the first half, while Hussein Ali added the second goal in the second half.”
The statement added, “Coach Ahmed Salah entered the match with a lineup consisting of: Ahmed Basil in goal, Faisal Jassim, Banka, Ahmed Zero, Sajad Jassim, Abdul Razzaq Qassim, Riwan Al-Amin, Bassam Shaker, Mohammed Dawood, Mohammed Sharaara, and Mahmoud Al-Mawas.”
He added, “The match witnessed clear control by the sons of Al-Qithara over the course of the game, as they were able to impose their style and control the rhythm of the match throughout, and thus achieved victory with two clean goals.”
This match comes as part of the team’s camp in Egypt, and is the second in a series of friendly matches through which the Police Club aims to reach maximum readiness before the start of the league competitions.
