Police Chase Ends in Car Overturning with Six People Inside
Late Sunday night, the streets of central Umeå were the scene of a dramatic police chase. Authorities attempted to pull over a motorist who refused to stop, sparking a pursuit through the city.
According to a statement on the police department’s website, the chase ultimately ended half an hour later when the car overturned into a ditch. Shockingly, there were six people inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Miraculously, none of them required hospitalization.
The driver, identified as a man in his late teens, is now facing serious charges. He is suspected of gross drunken driving, gross negligence in traffic, and failing to stop at a policeman’s signal.
