Rowdy Shot Dead by Police in Kalai Village Encounter

In a recent turn of events, Chondhav Kulla Viswa (A) Viswanathan, commonly known as Rowdy, was shot dead by the police in an encounter near Kalai village near Reperumbudur. Viswanathan, a notorious criminal, had more than 25 criminal cases pending against him, including six murder cases, various attempted murder cases, and kidnapping cases.

To apprehend the dangerous criminal, the police formed a special force and acted on the information received that Vishwa was in the Sokandi Mantopu area near Sunguvarchatram in Kanchipuram district. The police successfully surrounded Vishwa.

However, during the operation, Vishwa viciously attacked head constables Rajesh (41) and Vasudevan (46) with a hidden sickle, inflicting cuts on their hands. In response, the Special Police Assistant Inspector, Murali, fired at Vishwa, hitting him in the abdomen and resulting in his immediate death.

Upon receiving the news, Kanchipuram Cargo DIG R.Ponni and SP M. Sudhakar rushed to the scene and conducted an investigation. Meanwhile, the injured head constables were immediately taken to a private hospital in Kanchipuram, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.

Following the encounter, Vishwa’s body was sent to the Kanchipuram Government General Hospital for post-mortem analysis. The Sriperumbudur police have registered a case and are currently investigating the incident to gather more details about the encounter and the events leading up to it.

This encounter marks a significant success for the police force in their continuous efforts to maintain law and order in the region. The elimination of a notorious criminal like Vishwa will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the safety and security of the local community.
