A nice booty was found in an Italian pensioner: on Thursday, the Italian police found this man above suspicion a treasure estimated at six million euros, booty of thefts committed for more than twenty years. Among his treasure, the investigators found diamonds, mammoth teeth and even luxury watches.
“Hundreds of thousands of objects and precious stones (…) characterized by their high value” were found in Bologna at the home of the septuagenarian, unknown to justice, said the prosecution in a press release.
Silverware, medals, pens…
According to the catalog consulted by AFP, the loot consisted of silverware, medals, pens, coins, rings, cameos, ornaments and brooches, collector’s weapons and even a mammoth tooth. Police have posted photos of the stolen items online to allow their owners to identify them and come forward for their return.
The investigators were able to go back to the unscrupulous “collector” by following the trail of fences who regularly went to his home.
