by time news

On Sunday, the police searched for a missing person in Finspång. On Monday, the police announced that the disappearance is being investigated as a serious crime, which Aftonbladet was the first to report on.

The case is now classified as a suspected murder, according to Corren.

– We have nothing concrete that shows that a crime has been committed, but there are circumstances in this that we have to clarify before we can dismiss it, says police spokesperson Mats Pettersson.

Two people have been arrested in the case.

– They are arrested because we have to investigate whether or not they may have something to do with this, says Pettersson.

On Monday, the police and emergency services searched a stream in search of the person. The river was emptied of water to facilitate the search, Norrköping Tidningar reports.

Firefighters examined the bottom of the river, but made no findings. At 15.30 the water runs again.
