Serious crime in Uppsala, police investigating in Gottsunda
The police in Uppsala are currently investigating a serious crime in the residential area of Gottsunda. Several police patrols and a helicopter have been deployed to the area as they are currently in a “hunting phase,” according to police spokesperson Magnus Jansson Klarin.
The authorities were alerted to the situation shortly after 10 p.m. and are currently searching for individuals related to the incident. While details about the nature of the crime have not been disclosed, the police have assured the public that there is no immediate danger to the community.
“We received several calls that made us go there. Right now we are searching for people,” said Klarin.
At present, the police have not confirmed any injuries related to the incident and are working on all possible investigative measures.
“We do not judge that there is any danger to the public,” Klarin added.
