An Argentine fan who had to be carried away on a stretcher from the Maracanã on Tuesday (21), bloodied after the pitched battle that delayed the match between Brazil and Argentina for the World Cup qualifiers, stated that the police took selfies with the wounded and photos of X-ray of a man’s broken arm “like war trophies.”
The fan says that around eight Argentines witnessed the scene and that one of the agents was wearing the blue and white T-shirt of the Bepe (battalion specialized in stadiums). When he woke up, he was handcuffed on the stretcher and was forced to pay a bail of R$200 to leave the scene at 4 in the morning.
