The French security forces carried out this Tuesday various records in headquarters and institutions linked to Paris 2024 Olympic Gamesincluding the headquarters of the organizing committee (COJO) and the Olympic works delivery society (Solideo), as indicated by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF) to Agence France-Presse (AFP). Partially confirming an information from France Télévisions, the public ministry has specified that the records are part of two preliminary investigations open in 2017 and 2022 by presumption embezzlement and favoritism in the award of contracts related to the organization of the Games.
The COJO had previously told AFP that a search was being carried out at its headquarters in Saint-Denis, near the French capital, without specifying why. Fourteen months before the Games, the COJO “collaborates fully with the investigators to facilitate their investigations”, added the committee. The COJO is constituted in the form ofassociation. He Court of Auditors closely follows its activity and should publish a report soon.
According to a source close to the investigation, the records are in charge of theOCLCIFF (Central Office for the Fight against Corruption and Financial and Fiscal Infractions) and the BRDE (Financial Brigade of the Parisian Judicial Police), the same source reported.
