Chennai,

First-Minister M.K. Stalin chaired the District Collectors’ Conference at the Chennai General Secretariat yesterday.

Following that, a conference of police officers was held. The conference was attended by Ministers, Chief Secretary V. Irayanpu, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Home Affairs, Prohibition and Excise SK Prabhakar, Police DGP. S. Silenthrababu, Police SPs, Police Department and senior officers were present.

At the start of the conference, First-Minister M.K. Stalin spoke: –

Immediate action

The biggest concern and task of the police is to prevent problems caused by social networking sites and to take immediate action on them.

In other words, this social networking site is the starting point for caste-religious conflicts in the country and an impediment to homeland security. Speakers on a variety of topics here, as well as tasks that need to be addressed in the domain, are also requested to provide your feedback on tasks that need to be addressed online.

Thus he spoke.

Afterwards, First Minister MK Stalin addressed the conference: –

You have to realize this big difference between other government departments and the police department. You just have to be more discriminating with the help you render toward other people. In particular, I would like to inform you of one or two things at this time.

Action according to field conditions

District Superintendents of Police (Superintendent of Police) in law and order matters are responsible for taking any action within the law, depending on the field situation. There is no need to wait for the order to come from above alone and do not wait.

Next, senior officials should go directly to the field and resolve issues when law-and-order issues arise. This will give impetus and courage to the sub-level officers. The support of the people will thus definitely be available to you.

The aims of the state are all one and the same. That is, the welfare of the people – social harmony – a way of life with less crime – it is up to you to bring this about. I urge you all at this time to implement it.

Thus he spoke.

Award for Police Officers

At the conference, First Minister MK Stalin presented the award to the best performing police officers. Accordingly, Madurai Police Commissioner Prem Anand Sinha for special action against criminals, Tuticorin District Superintendent of Police L. Balaji Saravanan for special action against narcotics, Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Selva Nagaratnam for better handling of e-office management, Vellore District Superintendent of Police for excessive use of inner cameras. Kanna, Namakkal District Superintendent of Police Saroj Kumar Tagore received awards from First Minister MK Stalin for raising awareness about cyber crimes.
