From a house on Sovkhoznaya Street in Moscow, among the residents of which there was a mass poisoning, the police took three people away. This was announced on Saturday, September 11, by the REN TV channel.

According to the channel, all people taken out of the entrance are residents of the house.

Also, employees of the Investigative Committee arrived at the State Farm.

On September 10, it became known about the poisoning of two people in Moscow with a fatal outcome, the alleged cause of which was the use of a watermelon bought in a store on Sovkhoznaya Street. The family was admitted to the city hospital, where the 61-year-old woman and her 15-year-old granddaughter passed away.

After that, seven more residents of Sovkhoznaya Street from different houses were hospitalized with signs of poisoning. Some of them also talked about eating watermelons. Already on Saturday, it became known about the hospitalization of three more, including a child. Investigators opened a criminal case under Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person by negligence”).

After several cases of poisoning in Moscow, including fatal ones, were recorded, air and water testing in residential premises began. According to one of the versions, a major overhaul could lead to an emergency. It was noted that it is possible that during the work some kind of toxin could be used, which led to the poisoning of the townspeople.

In the network “Magnit” “Izvestia” was previously informed that they are clarifying all the circumstances of the situation with the poisoning. It was noted that “Magnit” will withdraw from sale the entire batch of watermelons, which was presented in the store on Sovkhoznaya, until the reasons for what happened are clarified. The store on Sovkhoznaya is sealed.

In turn, a sales assistant of one of the stores near the house on Sovkhoznaya said that their outlet had been checked the day before, sealed and taken away a batch of watermelons. According to the woman, she is not aware of cases of poisoning among their customers. She clarified that the store’s assortment includes watermelons from different suppliers.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, in one of the Moscow stores of the “Magnit” network, watermelons from a batch were found, which, presumably, had previously poisoned the capital’s family.
