“Teachers are responsible for my suicide. They beat and torture me everyday. A ninth grade student in Ambattur has committed suicide by recording a video saying ‘I am committing suicide due to the stress caused by it’.

Shekhar hails from Mahatma Gandhi Main Road, Kumaran Nagar, next to Ambattur. An employee of a private company, he has a son who is studying in his first year in a private college and a younger son who is studying in class nine. Name of youngest son, Bharti Selva (14). He has been studying 9th standard in a private school in the same area.

Both the parents went to work last Monday morning leaving the two sons alone. Both the sons have gone to school and college after their parents left. In this case, when the elder son went home in the evening after completing his college studies, he found his younger brother hanging there. When he screamed in shock, the neighbors gathered and informed the police. On receiving the information, the Koratur police reached the spot and seized the dead body and sent it to Kilpakkam Government Hospital for post-mortem examination.

During the investigation to find out the cause of suicide, it was revealed that the student had recorded a video before committing suicide. In which he said, “I am going to die. My family is not responsible for suicide. The teachers beat me everyday at school. So I am depressed. I don’t like this world. Police should take action on the school. Police please. In that school, there is anarchy. The school should be sealed,” he said.

And he has talked about many things in the video, from where to bury him and how to bury him. It is said that there is a complaint in the police station that the same student committed suicide by hanging himself after being scolded by his father. Now this video has been released. The student died. The incident has created a stir.
