Policeman suspended for insulting Kodiyeri’s death Kerala | Deshabhimani

Thiruvananthapuram> Suspension of a police officer who insulted the late former Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. Thiruvananthapuram Med. Urub, a civil police officer of College Station, was suspended by City Police Chief G Spurjankumar. A departmental inquiry has also been announced against him.

According to the order, the action of the officer is defamatory and brings shame to the police force and is against the circular issued by the Superintendent of Police regarding the conduct of police officers. Urub is also the PTA president of Pothankot LVH School. He posted insulting death in PTA’s WhatsApp group. He wrote along with Kodiyeri’s photo, ‘A murderer has died’.

The CPI-M Anaikot branch had filed a complaint with the chief minister, the police chief and the ADGP of the southern region, demanding action against the police officer who insulted the death of a former home minister. Urub was earlier Mullapally Ramachandran’s gunman.
