Alappuzha: Two persons have been arrested in connection with the hacking of SDPI state secretary KS Shan, police said. ADGP Vijay Sakhar said that both were directly involved in the murder. Both the arrested are RSS activists. Prasad and Ratheesh were arrested. Meanwhile, the all-party meeting scheduled for this evening has been postponed to tomorrow after BJP leaders criticized it for setting the time for the all-party meeting without consulting them. The all-party meeting will be held tomorrow at 3 pm.

The all-party meeting was scheduled for 3 pm today. However, it was postponed to 5 am today. Alexander informed. The BJP later clarified that it would not attend the all-party meeting. The BJP withdrew after it alleged that the post-mortem of slain OBC Morcha state secretary Ranjeet Srinivas was delayed and disrespected. BJP district president MV Gopakumar said the timing was decided without consultation. Following this, the Collector informed that the all party meeting was postponed to tomorrow.

The ban announced in Alappuzha district yesterday will continue today. Four teams will probe the murders of slain SDPI state secretary KS Shan and Ranjit. ADGP Vijay Sakhare, who is in charge of the investigation, reached Alappuzha and held discussions with top officials. Southern Region IG Harshitha Attalloori and Ernakulam Range DIG Neeraj Kumar Gupta arrived in Alappuzha yesterday. DGP Anil Kant said the probe was focusing on the problem leaders and directed them to be taken into custody as a precautionary measure if necessary. They will also be arrested if found involved.
