SDPI state secretary KS Shane was hacked to death by a group in a car on Saturday. The murder of a BJP activist took place shortly after the murder of KS Shan. On Sunday morning, BJP OBC Morcha state secretary Ranjit Srinivasan was hacked to death inside his house.
The SDPI has accused the RSS of being behind the assassination of the SDPI leader. A five-member team was behind the violence. The police investigation is progressing based on the CCTV footage of the area. Shane was attacked by a mob in Mannancherry around 7.30 pm on Saturday. He died at the hospital around 12.45am on Sunday.

The incident took place while going on a scooter to a rented house in Ponnadu. The group got into the car from behind and crashed into the scooter, knocking Shane down and then hit him repeatedly.

It has been identified from the CCTV footage that the attackers had gone to the Mannancherry area. The car they were traveling in has been identified.
