From August 3 to 17, political organizations in Ecuador will carry out their internal democracy processes. According to the calendar established for the 2025 General Elections, during these two weeks, political parties and movements will hold primary elections to choose the candidates who will represent their ideals in the elections on February 9, 2025.
To ensure the transparency and legality of these processes, political organizations must request oversight from the Electoral Delegation. This request must be made between July 23 and August 7, providing the necessary documentation as stipulated in the Regulations for Support and Supervision of Electoral Processes. The required documentation must be delivered to the institution’s secretariat, located on Av. Atahualpa and Geometría Moral, during business hours from 08:30 to 17:00.
These internal democratic processes are fundamental to strengthening citizen participation and consolidating democracy in the country.
