    <p>
    Reactions have been provoked by the video of Deputy Minister of Development, <strong>Zoi Rapti</strong>, dancing at a party on a boat in Astypalea, <strong>amid the large fire in Northeast Attica.</strong>
    </p>

    <p>
    Specifically, the video published by dnews.gr is said to have been recorded <strong>on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 13,</strong> just one day after the fire and before it was fully contained, on one of the boats that cruise to the inaccessible beaches of Astypalea.
    </p>

    <p>
    According to the report, "the Deputy Minister of Development boarded the boat with approximately 50 passengers, along with another friend and in the company of a local representative from the South Aegean region."
    </p>

    <p>
    In the video, Ms. Rapti (a member of parliament for the North Athens constituency, which includes areas like Chalandri, Vrilissia, and Penteli, which were burning at that time) is seen <strong>dancing on the boat to the sounds of the song "One is the essence."</strong>
    </p>

    <h3>SYRIZA: Shame on you, Argives...</h3>

    <p>
    <strong>The reaction from SYRIZA was immediate,</strong> commenting on the video with Zoi Rapti and reminding of the case of Eastern Attica MP Vassilis Oikonomou, who was partying at a club in Rhodes.
    </p>

    <p>
    "Mr. Mitsotakis, during his visit to the fire-affected areas of Northeast Attica, ten days after the huge fire, chose to be accompanied by Vassilis Oikonomou and Zoi Rapti, going beyond every limit of provocation.

    <p>
    How else can one characterize this choice, which clearly aimed at... absolution for the two government members, as at the time of the fire Ms. Rapti, the Deputy Minister of Development and MP for North Athens, was dancing on a boat on an Aegean island, while Mr. Oikonomou, the MP for Eastern Attica, was having fun at a club in Rhodes?
    </p>

    <p>
    <strong>The arrogance is "off the charts." Shame on you, Argives....</strong>
    </p>

    <p>
    A statement was also issued by the <strong>New Left</strong>, stating: <strong>"Ms. Rapti, who was partying while Attica was burning, must resign.</strong>
    </p>

    <p>
    One day after the outbreak of the devastating fire in Attica and while the flames were still burning uncontrollably, Deputy Minister of Development Ms. Rapti was having a good time on a boat cruising in Astypalea, according to a report by dnews.
    </p>

    <p>
    The provocative and insensitive behavior of government officials is not something unprecedented. However, we will not accept that it is normality.
    </p>

    <p>
    Ms. Rapti, who yesterday accompanied the Prime Minister to the show in Penteli, must immediately submit her resignation."
    </p>

    <p>
    It is worth noting that on Tuesday, August 20, <strong>Ms. Rapti accompanied Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis </strong> to the National Observatory of Athens, which was at risk of being turned to ashes by the fire.
    </p>

    <p>
    In a post following the visit, the Deputy Minister noted that "we will act immediately for the restoration of vegetation and further strengthening of fire protection for the very important research facilities."
    </p>

    <p><iframe style="border:none;overflow:hidden" allow="autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="true" frameborder="0" height="704" scrolling="no" src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fzoi.rapti.gr%2Fposts%2Fpfbid02xJauDrubdaJzMVu3z2RDGAduN5ZdmwUYSESqLV3APmjffq1cCS78JUyTjBh9oBQrl&show_text=true&width=500" width="500"></iframe></p>

    <p>
    The video also provoked reactions on X, with users commenting.
