by time news

Biswaroop Dey, the former secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal, has said that Cholarav Ganguly, who is likely to be selected for the post of ICC president, should no longer act in underwear advertisements.

In October 2019, former captain Selurav Ganguly was elected as the BCCI president and Jai Shah as the secretary. Recently the Supreme Court gave permission to BCCI to amend the BCCI rules. Accordingly, both Ganguly and Jai Shah got an opportunity to serve in their positions for another three years. However, there will be many changes in the BCCI leadership. Former player Roger Binny (67) from Karnataka will be selected for the post of president in the upcoming BCCI elections.

According to the reports, there is a possibility that Cheurav Ganguly will contest for the post of ICC president. Biswaroop Dey, a member of the Trinamool Congress and former secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal, said:

I would be happy if Ganguly gets elected as ICC president. But let me give him a piece of advice. Ganguly should avoid acting in underwear commercials if he gets the chance to become the ICC president. He said that such advertisements were not suitable for him as a cricket administrator.
