Geert Wilders, leader of the Party for Freedom in the Dutch parliament, expressed his opinion regarding the liquidation of the leader of the terrorist group Hamas in Iran.

“Good riddance!!!” he wrote.

Wilders has previously argued that Turkey should be expelled from NATO. He believes that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan poses a serious threat because of his statements about a possible invasion of Israel.

Wilders called Erdogan “completely insane” and said such behavior was unacceptable for a NATO member.

In addition, “Cursor” reported that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the US was not informed of Israel’s intention to eliminate the leader of the political wing of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran and did not participate in this event. Blinken stressed that the US seeks peace in the region and will try to avoid escalation of the conflict, offering diplomatic solutions to stabilize the situation. He also said that a ceasefire in Gaza is “necessary” after the assassination of Haniyeh in Iran.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, in turn, expressed the US’s readiness to defend Israel in the event of an attack. He noted that Washington would stand up for the Jewish state if it were to be subjected to aggression following the events in Tehran and Beirut.
