The overwhelming majority of Germans (86%) who have been vaccinated against coronavirus do not understand their unvaccinated fellow citizens. This was shown by a representative survey, the results of which were published on Saturday, December 4, by the publications of the Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland (RND) group. In the eastern federal states, this figure was 82%, in the western federal states – 89%.

Participants in the survey believe, in particular, that opponents of vaccination are behaving irresponsibly, since they endanger not only their own health, but also the health of those around them. The proposal to “impose tight contact restrictions and a curfew” for anyone who does not want to get vaccinated against COVID-19 was supported by 72 percent of respondents.

In Germany, 68.8% of residents are fully vaccinated

The supporters of the Green Party (97%), the Social Democrats (96%), the Christian Democrats (93%) and the Left (82%) are most intransigent towards the opponents of vaccination. The adherents of the liberal FDP (76%) and the right-wing populist “Alternative for Germany” (56%) are less categorically disposed. The poll was conducted on November 29 and 30 by the Forsa poll. It was attended by 1006 people over the age of 18.

As of December 3, 68.8 percent of the population in Germany is fully vaccinated, at least 71.7 percent of Germans have received at least one vaccination.
