Derna Waterfall is considered one of the city’s landmarks and a shrine for many visitors to the city, whether from Libya or abroad, because of its charming natural beauty.
In January of this year, the Derna Waterfall Bridge was inaugurated, after its complete maintenance by the General Command of the Armed Forces, where other facilities for the waterfall were added in a modern and civilized manner.
During the past few days, the Libyans were surprised to tamper with the contents of the waterfall facilities and throw garbage everywhere around it, in addition to writings on its walls that distorted and offended the general view of the place.
On this matter, we asked the followers of “Akhbar Libya 24” about their view of this absurdity that affected the Derna waterfall facilities, with garbage and waste filling its sides, was it due to a lack of awareness, or a lack of guards, or were they intended actions.

While our followers on “Facebook” had a majority of 70% lack of awareness, 17% due to the lack of guarding, and finally 13% confirmed that they were intentional actions.
