Pollution: differentiated traffic in Lille

by time news

The Nord prefecture set up differentiated traffic on Friday in the Lille metropolis due to the persistence of an episode of fine particle pollution that began on Tuesday.

This measure applies Friday from 6 a.m. to midnight in ten municipalities including that of Lille, “in view of the duration of the pollution episode”, said the prefecture Thursday evening in a press release.

As a result, public transport will be free on Friday throughout the metropolis, announced the transport company Ilevia.

This episode of pollution, classified as orange vigilance, has affected the Nord and Pas-de-Calais since Tuesday according to the Atmo Hauts de France air observatory.

In addition to the preventive measures already in progress, only cars classified 0 to 3 with the “crit’Air” label, heavy goods vehicles classified 0 to 4, carpoolers and certain essential vehicles are authorized to circulate.
