That was very gratifying.” Poms, who is currently without a coaching job after retiring as head coach of the Croatian first division club Osijek, is still waiting for a new job in the coaching area. “In the summer, the right thing wasn’t there yet. But there have been negotiations with clubs from Austria, Croatia and Poland. An offer from Iran also fluttered in, but I turned it down there. I want to stay in Europe. I’ve made a name for myself in a number of leagues, I’ll get my chance,” says Poms, who is now helping his hometown club DSV Leoben, helping with organizational matters and contributing his knowledge to scouting.
