Avalurpet: Sports competitions were held on the occasion of Pongal in Annamangalam village next to Valathi.

Union Councilor Nedunchezhiyan inaugurated the cricket match. On the occasion of Tiruvalluvar’s birthday, he garlanded his picture, paid respects and offered sweets to the public.
