Ponni’s Selvan is a two part film directed by Mani Ratnam. The film stars Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha among others. Raghuman composes the music. The film was co-produced by Leica and Madras Talkies with a budget of Rs 500 crore. The shooting of the first part of the film is nearing completion and the final stages are underway. The first part will be released in April next year.
It has been reported that Mani Ratnam is planning to hold a grand music release function for the film in London and Dubai. It has also been reported that arrangements are being made for the music launch to feature not only the film crew but also many celebrities from around the world.
