Mani Ratnam’s film ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ will be released the day after tomorrow on September 30 as the biggest film of Tamil cinema. Some people are comparing this movie with ‘Baahubali’. But Mani Ratnam has completed shooting both parts of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ in very few days. Jayam Ravi has given information about it in an interview.
“Recently I met director Rajamouli. I told him that we have completed the two parts of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ in 150 days. He was shocked to hear that. He asked back if I was doing ‘Frank’. I said that it is true sir we completed the shoot in 150 days. He asked with interest what were the plans and process that led to the completion of the shoot so soon,” said Jayam Ravi in the interview.
It is worth mentioning that the two parts of ‘Baahubali’ were shot for 600 days.
