The trailer of the second part of Mani Ratnam’s dream movie Ponniyin Selvan has been launched. Actor Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam and Subhaskaran launched the PS2 trailer at a function held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. Mani Ratnam is coming with the second part of the film after creating a huge history at the box office Poniyin Selvan-1. The film will release in theaters on April 28.

Mani Ratnam Ponniyin Selvan is based on the world famous historical novel by the literary writer Kalki Krishnamurthy. Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai, Rahman, Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Jayaram, Vikram Prabhu, Babu Antony, Lal, Riaz Khan, Ashwin Kakumanu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lakshmi and Jayachitra are acting in the film.

A. R. Rahman’s music, Ravi Varman’s cinematography and Thota Dharani’s art direction are the highlights of Ponniyin Selvan. The second part of the Brahmanda film ‘Ponniyin Selvan-2’, jointly produced by Laika Productions and Madras Talkies, will be released in five languages namely Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
