Ponniyin Selvan is a huge movie being made in Tamil. Directed by Mani Ratnam and composed by AR Raghuvan and starring Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha and others, the film is nearing completion.
The film did not cause any stir in the media from the opening day till the end of filming. They have only given updates about the film once or twice so far. Posters of the main characters were released last March. It has not released any update for the last three months since then.
The film is expected to release in September this year during the Armed Puja holidays. If so, how can this film be a pan-India film if it does not start promoting the film even three months before its release?
Today is the birthday of the film’s director Mani Ratnam and fans are waiting for an update on the film. However, it is doubtful whether the update, which has not come yet, will come further. It seems that Mani Ratnam is still following the ‘Old School of Promotion’.
