Doctors have had to remove the sewage with buckets because it has reached the floor of the patients’ beds.

Officials from the San Borja Hospital, located in the commune of Santiago, denounced the critical health situation that is being experienced in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to sewage leak within the health facility.

As indicated to Meganoticias, the senator of the Socialist Party, Luis Castro, “here there are sewage leaks that directly affect the people who are in Intensive Care, people on dialysis, invasive procedures and people with cancer.”

Along with this, Dr. Viviana Vallejos added that “we are having sewage leaks, and We don’t need to grow crops or anything, because you can smell the smell of poop in our residence.”
