A pop music concert “Closing of the Season” was held, organized by the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli (BMA) and the Russian House in Baku, Day.Az reports.
At the beginning of the musical evening, the deputy head of the Russian House in Baku Dmitry Egorov addressed the assembled audience with a welcoming speech. Especially for the final concert, the artists beloved by the audience prepared a musical program that revealed them in a new role. The host and curator of the event, Doctor of Philosophy in Art History, senior lecturer of the BMA Alena Inyakina told the audience about interesting facts related to the works performed.
That evening, the audience heard hits of Soviet, Russian, Azerbaijani and foreign pop music, beloved by many generations, performed by Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Anton Fershtandt, soloist of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater Yulia Heydarova, PhD in Art Criticism, Deputy Director of the BMA Studio School Ayten Ogtaygyzy, artists of the State Choir of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev – Kamilla Imanova, Farhad Alekperov, Elyar Aliyev, artist of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater Ruslan Persan, BMA graduates Aminat Akhmedova, Nargiz Mamedova and Emil Ismailov, student of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Teymur Kazimov, as well as a student of the BMA Studio School Hedger Asadullayeva.
