Pope completes visit to Malta

Valetta: The two-day visit of Pope Francis, President of the World Catholic Church, to Malta has come to an end. Tens of thousands lined the streets to receive the Pope, who arrived in Malta.

The pope was accompanied by Cardinal Mario Gretch of Malta and Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parole. On his way to Rome, Pope Francis conducted a prayer service at the Grotto, named after St. Paul, where the Apostle Paul arrived in Malta.
