Pope Francis published advice on Thursday for Catholics who consider their faith “tired” and intend to “revitalize” it this Lent.

“Your faith is tired and you want to revitalize it? Seek God’s gaze: place yourself in adoration, allow yourself to be forgiven in Confession, remain before the Crucifix. In short, let yourself be loved by Him”, said the Holy Father this March 16 through his official account in Spanish on Twitter.

Pope Francis has more than 53 million followers on this social network, through his nine accounts in different languages, such as Spanish, English, French, German, Latin and even Arabic.

Only in Spanish, there are more than 18.9 million followers.

A few days ago, the Holy Father recalled that the three pillars of Lent are fasting, almsgiving and prayer, because “they allow us to embody sincere faith, lively hope and active charity”.

On February 22, Ash Wednesday, Pope Francis asked the faithful that Lent “be a time of true conversion and interior renewal, deepening the meaning of the readings of the Mass.”

He also urged to reflect on “the way of the cross, renewing the relationship with the Word of God, with individual and community prayer.”

“In this time of grace, let us frequently invoke the Holy Spirit, to enlighten us and help us bear witness to the primacy of God in our lives, God who loves and comforts us, overcoming all desolation,” he added.
