Under a 40°C sun, a DJ priest and more than a million and a half people, Pope Francis ended World Youth Day 2023 (WYD), held in Lisbon. At the end of the mass, he especially asked the young people to continue fighting for world peace, and immediately afterwards he announced that South Korea will host WYD in 2027: “Europe’s western border will move to the far east, a beautiful sign of the universality of the Church”, he maintained.
