Washington:

The war in Ukraine has not ended 10 months after it started. The war resulted in the deaths of many soldiers and innocent civilians on both sides.

Pope Francis has been urging an immediate end to this war in all the events he attends.

In this context, Pope Francis spoke at the meeting yesterday:-

The people of war-torn Ukraine are suffering from extreme cold and hunger. Christmas celebrations should be such that their hearts are filled with peace and joy.

Everyone should cut Christmas expenses and help the victims of the war in Ukraine.

Thus he spoke.

Russian soldiers are suffering because it is winter in Ukraine. It’s so cold in Ukraine that the Russian soldiers don’t have warm clothes to protect them from the cold.

As a result, they are frozen in extreme cold, the Russian army commander has said.
