Pope Francis urged people not to get used to “conflicts and violence” that occur in different parts of the world, such as the wars that take place in Sudan and Ukraine.
In his words after the prayer of the Queen of Heaventhe Pontiff regretted that one month after the outbreak of violence in Sudan, the situation remains serious.
“By encouraging the partial agreements reached so far, I renew my heartfelt call to lay down their arms, and I ask the international community to spare no effort to make dialogue prevail and alleviate the suffering of the population,” the Holy Father said before about 25 thousand faithful gathered in the Plaza de San Pedro.
“Please, let’s not get used to conflicts and violence. Let’s not get used to war! And let us continue to be close to the martyred Ukrainian people”, requested Pope Francis.
