DISPATCH — On Friday June 30, Stella Assange had the privilege of speaking with Pope Francis. On Twittershe said she was “upset”, without giving more information.
As a reminder, journalist and whistleblower Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks, has been locked up in Belmarsh prison in London for almost four years. He is being prosecuted by the United States for having published from 2010 more than 700,000 confidential documents on American military and diplomatic activities. Today, British justice must decide on his future by choosing to extradite him to the United States, or not.

His wife, who regularly demonstrates against this extradition with her supporters, assured earlier in the month: “Julian could be extradited in a few weeks. We don’t have a precise timetable, but it’s really the final phase” .
