Pope Francis: The loss of a child is an inconsolable pain that should never be trivialized

Pope Francis invited the faithful this November 23 to care for the wounds of those who suffer, especially “parents who have experienced the drama of the loss of a child”, an “immense, inconsolable pain, which should never be trivialized with empty words and superficial answers.

This morning, the Holy Father went to the Paul VI Hall of the Vatican to meet with members of the Romena Fraternity of the Italian province of Arezzo and the Naím Group.

Addressing the 500 participants in the audience, he spoke of “God’s free love,” which “does not set conditions or impose burdens on our shoulders, but simply welcomes us and loves us freely.”
