Pope Francis calls on Jews and Christians to work together for the welfare of the poor, justice, and the protection of creation

Christopher Francis: Vatican

On May 30, Pope Francis told a Jewish multinational organization to cultivate a sense of brotherhood by helping those in need.

The pope said this morning when he met with representatives of the multinational Jewish organization B’nai B’rith, which is dedicated to supporting Jews and promoting human rights around the world.

Emphasizing the need to care for our fellow believers, the Pope called on Jews and Christians to work together for the welfare of the poor, justice, and the protection of creation.

Encouraging and deepening the dialogue between Jews and Christians was a passion of mine when I was a boy because there were Jewish children in my classroom at school, and it was the conversation at that time that created the clear signs of brotherhood and brotherhood, Pope Francis said.

Promoting the sense of human sibling

Pope Benedict XVI emphasized that people have a right to receive help and a sense of solidarity from the global community, including the right to live with confidence, and that helping the underprivileged, the poor, and the sick is a vital way to promote greater human brotherhood.

At the same time, the pope referred to selfish gains and unbridled greed as a threat to world peace, and said that neglect, with all its violence, was reminiscent of the story of Abel Cain’s murder, and that brotherly sentiment was building peace, but war was a sham.

The pope called for an end to the persecution and archeology, and for the protection of one another.

B’nai B’rith, a multinational corporation, was founded in New York City in 1843 to support the poor and work against anti-Semitism.
