Popular Front hartal violence: High Court to impeach Abdul Sattar in entire Kerala case | Kerala | Deshabhimani

KOCHI> The High Court has directed the Kerala government to make state general secretary Abdul Sattar an accused in all cases of violence during the hartal called by the Popular Front. The High Court’s directive is in a voluntary case related to the Popular Front hartal.

Compensation will be ordered for incidents of violence during the hartal. The Division Bench of the High Court said that the bail should be given only on the condition of the compensation amount and it will issue instructions to all the Magistrate Courts in this regard. The court also said that measures including confiscation of property can be taken in case the compensation cannot be collected.
