The Perumbavoor police had detained three people, including a young relative of Siyad, in the case of attacking a KSRTC bus on the day of the hartal called by the Popular Front. The report also states that while working at Kaladi police station, the visitor of Perumbavoor police station also tried to meet the accused in custody without the permission or knowledge of the superior and tried to interfere in the investigation illegally.

It was found that the numbers of the Popular Front workers were saved in the phone and were often in touch with them. Putankurish DYSP has been tasked to conduct a detailed investigation into the allegations and submit a punitive action note.
