Kuwait City: The population density has decreased in Jaleeb Al Shuyukh where Malayalis live. According to the latest data released by the Public Authority for Civil Information, Salmia is the most densely populated area in the country.

Jalib Al Shuyukh in Farwaniya Governorate was previously the most populated area. However, the figures show that the number of people moving from here to other areas has increased after the Covid. The number of residents in Jaleeb Al Shuyukh is 2,71,000 according to the Civil Information Authority. This figure includes Kuwaiti citizens, foreigners and stateless persons.

In 2019, there were 3,28,000 residents and the number of residents has decreased by more than half a lakh after the Covid. People have migrated to other areas and many foreigners have had to end their exile due to the Covid crisis, which has led to the depopulation of Jaleeb. Currently, Salmia in Hawalli Governorate is the most densely populated area in the country. 2,82,541 people live in Salmia.

The newly established areas of Anjafa Al Bida Al Masila, Abu Al Hassaniya and Khairan Residential Area are lagging behind in the number of residents. The number of residents here is less than a thousand. The figures show that the number of residents of Anjafa is only 328.
