Poroshenko fell asleep in court at the election of a measure of restraint in the case of treason

Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko fell asleep at a court hearing on the election of a measure of restraint against him. He is accused of high treason, in the case of which the punishment is 12-15 years in prison with possible confiscation of property. The prosecutor’s office insists on the arrest of the leader of the opposition European Solidarity party, who today returned to Ukraine from Poland.

The case of Petro Poroshenko is connected with the supply of coal from the Donbass. Earlier, the ex-president stated that 130 criminal cases were initiated against him, but about 40 of them were closed. His lawyer, Ilya Novikov, claims that there is an arrest warrant for the ex-president. Earlier, the court arrested all his property.
