Porsche Macan EV: The price of Porsche’s Megane electric car model has been set at Rs 1 crore 50 lakh in the Indian market.
Porsche Megane Electric Car:
Porsche has launched its second electric car in the Indian market. The vehicle will be available in two four-wheel-drive variants. Accordingly, customers can choose between the 408hp Macan 4 and 639hp Macan Turbo variants. Porsche India has opened bookings for the Macan Turbo. Its price is Rs. 1.65 crore, the vehicle is expected to be delivered in the second half of this year. Meanwhile, the electric Macan will reportedly go on sale with a petrol edition by the end of 2025.
Porsche Macan EV: platform:
The new electric Megane measures 103mm in length, 15mm in width and is 2mm shorter in height than the existing petrol model. It was developed alongside the Audi Q6 E-tron. It shares key parts of the chassis, batteries and power electronics with the new Porsche on its Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture. The electric Cayenne will also use the PPE platform.
Macan EV: exterior design:
The exterior styling deviates from the conventional look established on the original Megane. The design of the Daikon depends on the specifications. Particularly eye-catching are its distinctive rectangular headlamps and wraparound LED light bar. The roofline and overall silhouette are noticeably sleeker than the first-generation Macan.
interior and features:
The new Megane matches the current Cayenne in terms of interior style and layout. There is a standard 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. The optional 10.9-inch touchscreen for third passengers can be used to stream videos and adjust various controls. The gear selector has been moved from the center console to a higher position on the dashboard. It offers additional space for two cup holders and a smartphone charging pad in the center console. A longer wheelbase provides more comfort for longer footing in both rows.
Battery Details:
The Macan’s 95kWh battery can be charged up to 270kW on an 800V DC system. Porsche claims it charges from 10-80 percent in 21 minutes. Up to 240kW of electrical energy can be recovered through braking and deceleration. The Macan Turbo Edition is said to have a range of 591 km on a single full charge.
