Portivechju Film festival Returns September 18-21 with Diverse Preview Lineup

A festivity of cinematic artistry and cultural exchange, the Portivechju Film Festival (PFF) will return to Rocca Serra from September 18 to 21. The festival aims to foster connections between creative industries, presenting a curated selection of film previews alongside concerts and discussions.
The PFF distinguishes itself by prioritizing accessibility and intellectual exploration, offering a platform for diverse voices and genres. According to a festival presentation, the event is “thought of as a route,” designed to encourage both attentive viewing and critical engagement with the presented works.
A Committee of Industry Leaders
This year’s edition is under the chairmanship of acclaimed producer Marie-Ange Luciani, known for her work on films like 120 Beats Per Minute and Anatomy of a Fall. Luciani will be joined by a distinguished committee including Michel Ferracci, Hugo Selignac, Thierry de Peretti, Eric Toledano, Éric Fraticelli, Patrick Quinet, and Philippe Godeau. this collective of experienced professionals promises an ambitious and inclusive program.
Previewing a Spectrum of Cinematic Visions
for four days, the festival will showcase approximately a dozen films in preview, offering audiences the chance to engage with filmmakers and cast members. The lineup currently includes:
- You Haven’t Changed by Jérôme Commander: A nostalgic comedy centered on a reunion of former high school classmates.
- The Amazons Gang by Mélissa Drigeard: A historical account detailing a series of robberies from the 1990s.
- Privacy by Rebecca Zlotowski: A drama starring Virginie Efira that explores the complexities of a psychiatrist’s search for truth.
- Arco by Ugo Bienvenu: An animated science fiction film featuring a mysterious traveler from the future.
- I Who Loved You by Diane Kurys: A biopic chronicling the iconic relationship between Simone Signoret and Yves Montand.
- Vade Retro by Antonin Peretjatko: A horror-comedy focusing on a hapless young vampire.
- Alice Vial’s Ideal Soul: A sentimental comedy with fantastical elements.
- The Interest of Adam by Laura Wandel: A sensitive drama addressing the critical issue of child protection.
