Nicknamed “the king of toxic masculinity”, Andrew Tate, quadruple kickboxing world champion, was arrested on Thursday, December 29, in Bucharest, Romania. He is the subject of an open investigation for « viol », “human trafficking” et “establishment of an organized criminal group”.
Before being accused of having sexually exploited young women, alongside his brother Tristan, two years his junior, Andrew Tate had become known on the Internet for his outrageously misogynistic remarks. He stated in particular that, in a couple
heterosexual woman “belonged” to men, but also that the smartest people on Earth couldn’t be women.
More recently, he was involved in a heated exchange of tweets with environmental activist Greta Thunberg. She offered to talk to him privately, and to send him an email to a very special email address: énergiedepetitebite@achètetoiunevie.com.
