On a day when athletics puts four athletes into action, Nader, who qualified directly for the semi-finals on Friday by finishing sixth in his heat, will attempt today, starting at 21:15 local time (20:15 in Lisbon), to secure a place in the decisive race scheduled for Monday.

To do this, he will need to be one of the top six in his semi-final heat, which he shares with two medalists from Tokyo 2020, Norwegian Jakob Ingebrigtsen, who won gold, and British Josh Kerr, who took bronze at the last Games and is the current world champion.

Earlier in the morning, it will be Lorène Bazolo’s turn to compete in the first round of the 200 meters, after having already been eliminated in the opening round of the 100 meters on Friday.

Also in the morning session at the Stade de France, Fatoumata Diallo will compete in the first round of the 400 hurdles, before national record holder and also Olympic debutant João Coelho faces the 400 meters.

In Marseille, sailing has an intense program as well, with Eduardo Marques, who on Saturday won the sixth race of the ILCA 7 class, moving up to ninth place, and the duo of Carolina João and Diogo Costa in the 470 class, along with the debut of Mafalda Pires de Lima in women’s kite.

Road cycling bids farewell to the Games today with the women’s road race, in which Portugal will be represented by Daniela Campos.
